Final Fantasy VII: Lover's Sacrafice
Chapter Four: Just like her father
Arriving on the driveway of the house that belongs to the Kaguras, Sako quickly exited out of the door showing displease of Zack's appearance. Sako was very disgusted and just wanted to describe what he was feeling but he just couldn't. Why did Maiya have to bring his rival here and yet she knows about it? She seems to be a great fan of him also. He thought to himself, Why of all people she had to bring him? He didn't expect it to happen so soon that his sister would encounter him while going to school that morning. The famous Zack Fair in his house. He didn't want to show his rude side now. Not anymore quidance in front of his mother. Sako just sighed hoping it would end sooner. He sacasticly smiled at his sister who just exited out of the automobile which casued the girl to look at her brother puzzled wondering what's going on in his mind of his. Asking wouldn't hurt, would it?
"What's wrong with you Sako? You're acting pretty strange..." Maiya grabbed her backpack before closing the door as her mother and the freind of hers also exited.
Why did I ask that? I should know why Sako is acting strange becasue he's rvials with Zack! Man, I wish he would just get along with him. His jelousy is getting a little to out of hand..Maybe it's becasue of the joke I said about him earlier. If it is I think I should apologize...
The girl with red hair laughed nervously. She wasn't sure why but she was about to say something that was yet again not narmol for it to come out of her mouth. She was usually shy and energetic at the same time but now it didn't seem so right.
"Sorry about that joke I said earlier. I didn't mean it, honestly." Maiya gulped. She didn't want the other companions to think she had gone nuts.
"Don't apologize little sister." Sako replied slowly and sarcasticly as he opened the entrance door of the house leading them inside. It wasn't wha he would usually would do but he felt that he had to be more polite.
"Hey! What does that mean?!" The girl cried out to the boy who just gave her the instant reply. She growled but tried to stay calm. She remembers Zack is here. She didn't want him to think that she's rude or have anger management.
"Are you two fighting again?" the mother of the two crimson hair children sighed as she asked the two. They don't usually argue but she really disliked it in front of the visitors.
"No mother." Maiya awnsered the woman respectfully. She blushed hoping the raven hair boy wouldn't have a neagative thought on the two. Even though she noticed Zack looking at her she still remained calm.
"I hope so, have fun you two." Yura smiled as she went for the kitchen. Sako and Maiya suddenly glanced at each other quickly; possibly to get to argue again.
Have fun? yeah right....Sako thought in disgust.
Unaware of the sitaution, Zack was usually the one with such great spirit and energetic. While the sibling weren't looking his way, Zack looked at the photo-framed picture on the shelf into the silent nicely dark living room. He couldn't help but to stare at the beautiful picture of the father and her daughter smiling as if it was the best moment of their lives. He thought curiously of who was the man next to the girl who had such a strong resemblance as to Yura. Behind the backround he could tell Maiya was younger and had a better and peaceful life. He wanted to question who was the man in the colorful photo but for some reason he knew it wasn't the right time. The bright sun reflected on the glass showing three bright colors of the rainbow; red, orange and blue. Many thoughts was going through his head on this just one picture. Why isn't the man with his daughter now? It was stange for Zack to be concerned so much.
"I'm going to go watch T.V upstairs while you two have your friendly time." Sako's voice disturbed Zack's thoughts which caused him to place the photo-framed picture down on the shelf where it was. Sako quickly trotted upstairs.
The soft sound of the object as it sat caught the attention of the Wuati girl.
"Would you mind me asking but who is this person? He sure looks alot like Sako." Zack picked the same picture back again which caused the girl to sigh in pain.
Maiya's heart raced as she stared at the picture of herself with her father four years ago at the age of six. The memories of the past would sink into her mind not wanting to leave. The feeling again that she could not take.
"That's--That's my father..." the girl swallowed hard on her dry throat as she sat down; hurt. She said the statement below a whispear. Something terrible must have happened in the past. She sat down desprate on the couch near her.
Zack now felt uilty for asking her. He told himself not to ask and that is wasn't a good idea and he did it anyway. He slowly sat the picture back where it was again and approached the sad girl. He sat next to her and spotted her eyes started to tear up.
Would you like to talk about this else where?" The boy questioned the girl hoping it was alright. Without a reply, maiya nodded as both of them headed for upstairs.

Man, there isnothing in here!" Sako complained as he flipped through channels groaning for entertainment.
He stared at the wall for a moment critisizing how the events where on television. Frustrated that there was nothing to do to keep him occupied Sako threw the black remote on his soft matress bed and turned the electronic off. He wouldn't care leaving it on but his mother is strict about him doing that.
He threw himself on the soft bed staring at the ceiling wondering what to do.

The only one day, Maiya comfirmed to herself about the feelings she had for Zack. they didn't seem so true. What was she really thinking? Her feelings seemed to be locked in her heart.
The pain..they just met, what should she tell him about her past? She felt uneasy. It wasn't normal for her. She never even told her other freinds and she knew them much beter then Zack. Something is telling her that is safe.
"You're crying Maiya." Zack's face was serious, yet upsetting. it took him a while to comfort the girl. Seeing her crying like this was so painful.
The feelings; true heart, it seems so ovious that something tragic mus have happened and she couldn't explain it while she was pourung into tears. He blamed himslef for this. Why did he have to ask her? He should have not said anything. Things would have probobly been better. Maiya had stopped crying but she wasn't in a good mood. It was a rude one but sedactive. She took deep breathes before she started her story.

"Father no! Please don't do it!" pleased the red head as she ran and clunged to a man's shirt as tears formed around her eyes. The man just stared at her in sorrow not knowing what to say. What's happening? His action was unknown right now but he is going to scarcrifice himself for something precious to him.
"I'm sorry May, but it has to be done." responeded the man as he looked as his daughter as if he had remorse. Maiya gasped as he let go and tried to catch him up again. It seems like it was no use. She did want him to leave her. He's going to fight the Shin-ra alone? What is he doing?
"Yura, take May and Soko and get out of here quickly!" the man rushed his wife wanting her to get away from his as possible. He knew something bad would happen soon if she won't retreat away from him. It would be to dangerous for them to be around him in this situation. Being secluded would be best.
"But what about you?..." The woman looked at her husban teared up. She thought it was foolish and useless to what her husban was about to do.
"Just go!" the man hollered not wanting her to see his sorrow. Yura looked at him in sorrow thinking what he was going to do next. What is he doing? This didn't seem narmol from what Maiya would think of him. Yura noded and grabed the two young ones at headed outside where the soldiers wouldn't spot them.
"No!! Please!" sobbed little Maiya as she heard gunshots as if they were firecrackers forming into the misty sky. Yura covered the little girls mouth as she tried to prevent her from the destruction being heard from the outdoors. She had never felt so depressed before She felt so rushed. She wouldn't know what to do it he lost his life. Everything. Thinking about it made her blood stir. Her heart pounding non-stop. Butterflies in her stomch. She hated the feeling so much. She just couldn't lose him. He ment so much to her and now this situation? It hurts so much. She just couldn't take it. She just felt so weak; hopeless; helpless. She just couldn't tell what she felt exaclly but it was pain as for the fact.
"May, It's to dangerous to go out there!" called out a woman with a resemblance as her as she grabbed Maiya's hand and tried to secape from the destruction.
Yura placed Maiya and Soko by a nearby huge Rock surface. "Hopefully we'll be safe here." The woman sighed hoping they are truley safe.
"Mother! Is dad going to be okay? What's going on here? This is so strange...Why are the Shinras even here? What or who did they come for?" questioned the concerned young boy with red hair escaping with Maiya and his mother, Yura.
"Papa..." cried little Maiya even more. Hearing the name Sinra made her sorrow grow even more. She couldn't help but let more warm tears out. She balled herself not wanting her mother and brother to see her sadness it would hurt them and she hates crying in front of people especially her family members. It made her feel so hopeless, like she wasn't help at all. She felt weak so sudden.
"Come on Maiya please don't cry. dad is going to be okay, he can take them on. Soko tried to cheered the girl.
"No he can't not with all those Shinras, he-he can never defeat all of them especially with that many..." Maiya felt so uneasy. She's going to blame herslef for something that she flet she needed to be involved in.
She would try all the time to rmeber all the beautiful memories that her and Akuma had before his death. He would say, 'Think Positive, It's better to think of graceful moments then the negative. Happiness is what brings peace' It would be one of her favorite quotes her father would say to her. She found it a bit useless now.
"Maiya! How could you think like that?" Soko urged. He tried to stand up and show him the courage his father would. Maiya slowly tried to look up trying to quickly wipe the droplets away with her long sleeve frilled shirt.
"Don't you get it? There's to many... He can't do this...it's impossible" still replyed a sad Maiya and looked at his brother in remorse. Her negative thoughts brung the boy upset.
--
Come on Little May. You can do it, exclaimed a womans voice from behind the camera. The baby hobbled to her feet, holding on to a barstool from what appeared to be downstairs, for support.
Thats it! Now walk to daddy! cooed the woman, the camera bobbing with her voice. The baby giggled and slowly made her way across the room. She collapsed happily in her fathers arms.
There you go! exclaimed her father as he's lifting her into the air as he guided her to her first steps. The tape stopped and hissed as it rewound again. Maiyas as watered to the point where she couldnt see. She grabbed her knees and began to rock back and forth, tears streaming down her face.
Hey
Im not dead yet you know, said a male voice from behind. Maiya glanced up and saw her father standing in the doorway. He set his katana against the wall and took a few steps forward.
Dad! Maiya cried in surprise seeing the man she hasn't seen for a while. She wiped away her tears with her sleeve and ran over to him. She jumped into his arms and they embraced each other for a long time. It was probobly one of the happiest days of her life. She finally gets to see her father again.
Happy Birthday, he hummed, letting Maiya go as he playfully swung her around. Maiya quickly wiped the tears that were left wishing her father haven't seen them.
--
"No! No way it can't be!" Maiya shriked as she panicked to search for her father.
"May, come back here! It's to dangerous!" the woman called after the girl as she qucikly tugged on her shirt and watered at the sight of the lifeless man as he lie on the ground. Releasing herself from Yura's grip she quickly scrambled to the lifeless body.
"No! They killed him! Those guys killed him!" sobbed Maiya. She clenched the tip of her frilled shirt. She took the man's death pretty hard. The girl droped to her knees in remorse in the cold dreadful rain. The sky cried with her. The battlefield showered with red liquid. She sight of it made her heart beat faster. The pain made it hard for her to breathe. She couldn't belive it acually happened. He's gone forever...
.::~::.
Maiya felt her heart sink again; She told him about her past which she have never done before. She didn't know what Zack would think about her previous life that she went through.
"I'm sorry.." The few words escaped from the young boy's mouth.
"You don't have to apoligize Zack." The girl stood up abit on her bed. She sighed before beginning her new statement.
"Do you have a dream Zack?" the girl questioned the boy besides her her. It was strange for to ask such a question in a time like this. It just came to mind but she was curious to know the boy's reply.
Zack was flattered and confused that she would ask such a question. He replied anyway to the concerned girl.
"I hope this doesn't sound embarressing, but I've always wanted to be a hero." Zack tried to smile and succeeded. Maiya couldn't help but bring a smile to her face also.
The girl couldn't belive it. She thought she was dreaming of the past except Zack was in the positiion of her father. She just knew it, he is alot like her father.
I knew he had some sort of similarity with him...I guess I was wrong I can find happiness after all.

This story had me thinking, cause I've met many older women who admited that they would not have minded if they adopted me as a son. It was somthing that just came out of their mouth after I helped them. And I've met men who wanted to adopt me as a son too. I never understood what that was about, but I was flattered. But this chapter kind of answered part of my question. But, I could be wrong. Even now, I'm living with my friend's family, and his mother accepts me as another son. I'm really touched by this. My mother is in Florida, and my sister is with her dad and stepbrother. (Long incredible story) but this chapter just had me thinking for some reason.
Anyway, this chapter has a powerful note with a sensitive touch. Maiya feels that she can trust Zack with her vulnerability and tragic lost. Like there was something about Zack that made her feel secure enough to be open with.
This chapter is very interesting. This reminded me also of how the Holy Spirit attracts people who are desperately looking for answers to their problems. I've had people that I don't know, approach me and shared their most personal matters, and I would pray for them. What ever they shared with me, I kept it to myself, it was personal information that I must only address to the Lord through interseccary prayer on behalf of the needy. I feel like this chapter has a very imortant message. It reminded me of my obligation to God in reaching the hurting souls for the glory and honor of God. Wow, very well done.
It's like God spoke to me through your writing with this chapter. That's awesome.
Lookin foward to the next chapter.
